Heidi Klum, born on the 1st of June 1973 in Bergisch Gladbach Germany. Erna the mother of Heidi was stylist. Gunther Klim Her father was an executive of a cosmetics firm. Heidi's Dad was earlier a production supervisor for the 4711 corporation. She grew up in her home town of Bergisch Gladbach a city of approximately 100,000 inhabitants just six miles east of Cologne. Heidi Klum is a former model of German descent who performs as a host on TV, producer and fashion designer. Klum's modelling career started in 1992, when she worked as a barmaid at an Dusseldorf club. Karin helped Klum, at the time a student of 18 years old, to take part in an German show on television called Model 92. The German women's publication Petra supported the show, which was part of Thomas Gottschalk's talk program. Klum had to compete against 25,000 contestants across Germany and Europe before she became one of three semifinalists. In April of 1992, Klum won a top prize of $300,000.
